1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you") and OccultSanctum ("we," "us," "our"), operated from Perth, Western Australia, Australia. By downloading, installing, or using the Vedic Cards application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the App.

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.

2. Description of the App

Vedic Cards is an educational platform dedicated to the study and exploration of the Vedic card system. The App provides:

• Vedic Card Library — A comprehensive collection of Vedic cards with detailed interpretations, symbolism, and traditional meanings.
• Educational Articles — In-depth teachings, guides, and reference material on the Vedic card system, its origins, methodology, and application.
• AI-Assisted Learning — Conversational AI features powered by Anthropic (Claude) that assist users in exploring card meanings, combinations, and interpretations.
• Curated Content — Structured learning pathways, topic guides, tutorials, and encyclopaedic reference content built around the Vedic card system.
• Credits System — A unified OccultSanctum credit system for accessing premium content and AI-assisted features within the App and across all OccultSanctum platforms.

3. Educational and Entertainment Purposes Only — Disclaimer

All content, card interpretations, articles, AI-generated responses, and any other outputs provided through the App — whether produced by human authors, algorithmic systems, artificial intelligence, or any combination thereof — are provided strictly for educational and entertainment purposes only.

You expressly acknowledge, understand, and agree that:

• The Vedic card system is a traditional knowledge system rooted in ancient Indian esoteric tradition. Its interpretations are not scientifically validated and have no proven predictive or diagnostic accuracy.
• No content within this App constitutes, or should be interpreted as, professional medical, psychological, psychiatric, legal, financial, investment, relationship, career, or any other form of professional advice.
• AI-generated interpretations and responses are produced by large language models that may generate inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, or fabricated ("hallucinated") information. The AI may present speculative content with apparent authority or confidence.
• Card readings and interpretations are symbolic and subjective by nature. The same card or combination may be interpreted differently by different teachers, traditions, and practitioners.
• You should never make significant life decisions — including but not limited to those related to health, finances, legal matters, relationships, or career — based solely or primarily on any content from this App.
• You should always seek qualified, licensed professionals for matters requiring professional advice.
• Educational content within the App represents one interpretation of the Vedic card tradition and does not claim to be the definitive or authoritative source on the subject.

4. Assumption of Risk and Waiver of Claims

By using the App, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with engaging with esoteric, spiritual, and AI-generated educational content. You acknowledge that:

• You are using the App of your own free will, for personal education, exploration, or entertainment.
• You are solely responsible for any actions you take or decisions you make based on, or influenced by, any content from the App.
• You waive any and all claims, demands, causes of action, and rights to sue OccultSanctum, its owner, operators, developers, affiliates, and service providers for any loss, damage, harm, or adverse outcome — whether direct, indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive — arising from or related to your use of the App or reliance on its content.
• This waiver extends to emotional distress, financial losses, relationship consequences, and any other adverse outcomes you may attribute to use of the App.

5. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

The App includes AI-assisted features powered by Anthropic (Claude). You acknowledge and agree that:

• AI-generated content may be inaccurate, inconsistent, contradictory, or entirely fabricated. The AI may present speculative or incorrect information with apparent confidence.
• AI responses represent the output of a language model and do not reflect the personal opinions, endorsements, or teachings of OccultSanctum.
• The AI may occasionally produce content that is inappropriate, culturally insensitive, or inconsistent with traditional Vedic teachings despite safeguards in place.
• OccultSanctum does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, authenticity, or traditional fidelity of any AI-generated content.
• AI responses are not a substitute for study with a qualified Vedic practitioner or teacher.
• OccultSanctum does not claim that AI-generated card interpretations represent authoritative or traditional teachings.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 OccultSanctum Content

All content within the App — including but not limited to articles, card interpretations, artwork, graphics, text, topic guides, tutorials, and encyclopaedic content — is owned by or licensed to OccultSanctum and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

6.2 Permitted Use

You may access and use content within the App for your own personal, non-commercial educational purposes only. You may not:

• Copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, or transmit any App content without our prior written consent.
• Use App content for commercial purposes.
• Modify, adapt, or create derivative works from App content.
• Scrape, extract, or systematically collect App content by any means.
• Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices.

6.3 Your Content

The App does not currently support user-generated content. Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you submit to us may be used by OccultSanctum without obligation or compensation to you.

7. Eligibility and Account Registration

You must be at least 17 years of age to use the App. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are at least 17 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

Accounts are created through Google OAuth or Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• All activity that occurs under your account.
• Notifying us immediately at occultsanctum@gmail.com if you become aware of any unauthorised access to your account.

OccultSanctum reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that are found to be in violation of these Terms.

8. Credits, Payments, and Refund Policy

8.1 Credit System

The App uses OccultSanctum's unified credit system, shared across all OccultSanctum platforms and applications under your account. Credits purchased or earned on any OccultSanctum platform — including Samay, Vedic Cards, or any future OccultSanctum app — are accessible across all platforms when signed in with the same account. New accounts receive a complimentary allocation of credits as determined by OccultSanctum from time to time and subject to change without notice.

8.2 Purchasing Credits

Credits may be purchased through the App using Apple in-app purchases, Google Play in-app purchases, or other payment methods made available from time to time. All purchases are processed by the respective payment provider under their terms and conditions.

8.3 Credit Expiry and Portability

Credits do not expire while your account remains active. Credits are tied to your OccultSanctum account and are accessible across all OccultSanctum platforms. Credits are non-transferable between separate accounts.

8.4 Refund Policy

Credits are generally non-refundable once purchased, except as required by applicable law or Apple/Google refund policies. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us at occultsanctum@gmail.com within 14 days of the transaction.

For purchases made through Apple in-app purchases, refund requests are handled by Apple directly. OccultSanctum has no control over Apple's refund decisions. Credits purchased via other payment methods are subject to those providers' respective terms.

8.5 Price Changes

OccultSanctum reserves the right to adjust credit pricing at any time. Changes will not affect credits already purchased.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the App to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation.
• Impersonate any person or entity.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the App or its backend systems.
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access or interact with the App.
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure or other users' access.
• Use the App in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair the service.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the App.

10. Availability and Changes to the App

OccultSanctum does not guarantee that the App will be available at all times. The App may be temporarily unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control.

We reserve the right to:

• Modify, update, or discontinue any feature or content within the App at any time.
• Add, remove, or restructure content, articles, or card interpretations.
• Discontinue the App entirely, with reasonable notice where possible.
• Modify the credit costs of features at any time.

We will not be liable to you for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the App.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, OccultSanctum and its owner, operators, developers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any:

• Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
• Loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill.
• Damages arising from your reliance on any content, interpretation, or AI-generated response within the App.
• Damages arising from unauthorised access to or alteration of your account.
• Damages arising from any interruption, suspension, or termination of the App.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the total amount of credits you have purchased in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless OccultSanctum and its owner, operators, developers, affiliates, and service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia.

For users in other jurisdictions, mandatory local consumer protection laws may also apply and are not excluded by these Terms.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed if modification is not possible. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and OccultSanctum regarding your use of the App and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and representations relating to the subject matter.
